Dance Wear For Class
Dance merchandise, shoes, tights, etc will be available during registration for purchase or
ordering. Please do not wait until the first class to get this done.
* Pre-School Tap - any style & color leotards and tights, black shoes
* Pre-School Creative - any style & color leotards and tights, pink ballet shoes
* Pre-Ballet - black or pink leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
* Ballet - school age - black or pink leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
* Jazz - leotards or jazz pants or bike shorts, black jazz shoes
* HipHop & Street Jazz - black jazz pants, fitted top or leotard. Hip-Hop sneakers or black jazz
shoes
* Tap - black jazz pants or leotards, tights, black tap shoes
* Lyrical - leotards, footless tights, skirt - lyric sandals
No jeans, baggy shirts, dangle jewelry or gum chewing
Hair should be worn back and secured for class
Please do not wear dance shoes outside, wear street shoes and change into dance shoes before
entering the dance studios. This includes Hip-Hop sneakers or jazz shoes.
Label all shoes and accessories with the student's name. We are not responsible for items left
behind. We do keep a Lost & Found box.
Registration Fees
Registration fee for 2 yr-olds is $15.00. For all other students, a $25.00 registration fee
(Individual) or $30.00 (Family) is required with the registration form to reserve class space for the
year. A registration is not considered complete and class space is not reserved until this fee is
paid.
Attendance
It is important that your child attend class regularly as absences and tardiness can "hold back" an
entire class. The studio can not jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of the class for one
student. Classes missed due to illness may be made-up at an additional class of the student's
ability ( if available).
Class Observation
Parents may observe classes at any time from the windows in our classroom doors as long as
there is no distraction. Teachers may invite parents into the classrooms on occasion at their
discretion.
Recitals
Performances are presented in May for all students. Every class will perform one routine which
entails purchasing one costume per class. Recital will be held on Sunday May 15,2011. Dress
rehearsal will be on Saturday May 14,2011. Both will be held at Central Connecticut State
University,in Welte Auditorium.
Insurance
The studio does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all students be
covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs it is understood that the
student's own policy is your only source of reimbursement.
Cancellations Snow or Bad Weather
During inclement weather, the studio will be closed according to the West Hartford school system.
If in fact weather clears up by mid-afternoon, classes may be held. An announcement will be left
at the studio (860) 232-7225.
